‘Shazam!’ star Zachary Levi denies being canceled after Trump endorsement: ‘Still full steam ahead’

“Shazam!” star Zachary Levi said Sunday on Bill Maher's “Club Random” podcast that his support for President-elect Donald Trump has not affected his career.

In September, Levi hosted a Trump event in Michigan with former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, and announced his presidential nominee.

“We're going to take this country back. We're going to make this country great again and we're going to make this country healthy again. So I support Bobby and I support everyone else who supports President Trump. “I do,” Levi said. he said at the time. “Of the two options we have, we only have two, and President Trump is the one who will get us there.”

The Hollywood actor spoke with Maher about Trump's victory, saying the Democratic Party “lost a crazy campaign to a crazy person.”

Zachary Levi endorsed Trump and argued to talk show host Bill Maher why Trump is better for America than President Biden-Harris.

Levi argued that Trump is not perfect, but his years of success speak for themselves.

“I don't think he's a moral paragon,” he said. “There are many details that can be added and subtracted from this conversation, but overall, the four years of his presidency were much better than the four years of the Biden-Harris presidency and vice president.”

He said that during the Trump administration, “the border became more secure, the economy became more secure and crime rates went down.”

Levi also pushed back when Maher thought his job was canceled and lost because of his support for President Trump, saying it didn't seem to have affected his career.

“I mean, listen, we don't know yet what the final impact of everything is going to be,” Levi told the talk show host. “There were multiple jobs that were already being shot or not yet shot, but none of them were compromised.

“All of those things, my producers, the studios behind those movies and projects, they're calling me and saying, 'Hey, listen, this is too far over the line and I'm not going to let you go any further. We've never said, 'We can't have you involved in the projects.'We're all still working on them to the fullest,'' he said.

“I don't know what that will ultimately be in the future.”

Levi added that he may have missed the backlash because he was busy making a movie in Eastern Europe, but that he now plans to sit down with his team and discuss it. They might say, “Hey, listen, I talked to some people on the phone and they don't want to work with you anymore.” I don't know. “

“I could have sworn it happened already,” Maher said, perplexed.

“No, I think it's because we did the town hall with Tulsi and Bobby. So basically I was confused by Bobby. I really wanted Bobby to be one of us. '' Levi explained.

He also described how Mr. Maher has stood his ground against the excesses of woke Democrats.

“You know, you're like a lot of people who were classic liberals who got stuck in the garbage of the left, saying, 'I didn't move, I didn't change, the boundaries changed.' I was thinking, I think it's a very accurate representation of not only where you are, but also where many other people are. [Joe] Logan is one of them,” Levi observed.

Maher agreed, saying of the far left: “What I want to say to them is, 'You guys are crazy, you're crazy, you're crazy, and you have a terrible attitude.' But I just don't do that.” I don't bend the knee like everyone else. So. ”
