Shiri Thanedar Pushes for a House Vote on Trump’s Impeachment

Democrat Silli Taneder from Michigan has put forth a resolution that aims to facilitate a vote against President Trump throughout the chamber.

Taneder explained, “We introduced this ongoing resolution as a privilege on Tuesday afternoon, meaning the leadership will hold a two-day session to consider it.”

So far, House Republicans have not publicly supported the measure, and leaders may choose to block lawmakers from voting on it.

Taneder labeled his resolution as privileged, asserting that the president “brings shame upon the presidency and the citizens of the United States,” declaring government efficiency (DOGE) “a ‘bad, unconstitutional creation’.”

Many Democrats are hesitant to back this resolution, as it could endanger some party members facing tough elections next year, during a critical time for retaining control of the House and the Senate.

Reportedly, the four Democrat co-sponsors initially listed in the legislation indicated that they had been included incorrectly and subsequently removed their names.

Taneder accused the president of justice misconduct, tyranny, bribery, corruption, and obstructing trade authority.

A White House spokesperson named Liz Houston stated that the resolution illustrates that Democrats are more focused on targeting Trump than on assisting the American public.

“Every action taken by President Trump and his administration is entirely legal and deeply rooted in the desires of the American people. President Trump is fulfilling his promises: securing our borders, bringing trillions back into America, and reinstating rational leadership.

“Conversely, Democrats continue to display their apparent priorities, seemingly favoring illegal immigrants over the safety and security of hardworking American citizens.
