Tragedy in Minneapolis Church Shooting
Earlier today, the chief of the Minneapolis Police Station reported the shocking death of a church leader, allegedly caused by two children aged 8 and 10, in what is being termed “an unthinkable tragedy.”
In addition to the deceased, there were 17 other individuals harmed, including 14 children, with two of those victims in serious condition.
According to the police chief, the shooter—identified as a man in his early twenties—opened fire using various firearms, including rifles and shotguns, targeting the church windows as well as the building itself.
Tragically, the alleged gunman also took his own life during the incident. Authorities are currently investigating the motivations behind this horrific act.
Interestingly, the chief noted that, while no explosives or IEDs were found, there were fireworks present that caused smoke in the area.
In a report from Kare-TV, it was confirmed that the shooting took place during morning Mass at the Announcement Church, with police and emergency responders arriving at approximately 8:30 AM.
A man dressed in black, reportedly armed with a rifle, was apprehended at the scene.

As the new school year for the Annunciation Church and Catholic School commenced on Monday, the institution serves children from kindergarten through eighth grade.
City officials later announced that there was no ongoing threat to the community.
Law enforcement confirmed that the shooter was neutralized by 9:31 AM.
Mayor Frey tweeted, expressing that he was monitoring the ongoing situation and coordinating with Chief O’Hara and their emergency response teams. Updates would follow as more information became available.
The FBI and ATF were also dispatched to the scene to assist with the investigation.
In a social media statement, President Trump remarked, “The FBI is responding quickly; they’re on the scene. The White House will keep a close watch on this dreadful situation. Pray for everyone involved!”
