Simone Biles became emotional as she bid farewell to her Texas home, where she and her NFL husband, Jonathan Owens, had shared six years of their lives.
The 29-year-old Olympic champion shared on Tuesday that their 3,998-square-foot residence, situated in a gated community near Spring, Texas, went under contract just four days after being listed for sale.
“Why the f–k am I boohoo crying? F–k,” she exclaimed, teary-eyed in a TikTok video documenting her experience with the sale. “This house is on the market for the first time, and I have no idea why I’m crying. I spent six years here, full of so many good and bad memories.”
As she filmed the empty spaces within the house, Biles expressed her feelings about the place that felt like home. “I feel like I grew up in this house. It’s taught me what it means to be an adult. I’m really going to miss it. Honestly, I didn’t expect to get so emotional over a house,” she noted.
She also took a moment to share a thoughtful note for the new owners. “Whoever buys this house, I hope it brings you as much joy as it brought me,” she stated.
It was surprising for Biles that the home, which they had moved into in 2020, sold so quickly after being listed. “I was eager to get air fresheners for the potential buyers and show Jonathan one last look,” she said in the video. “Yet, I just ended up crying. Does that happen to anyone else?”
The house was listed at $1.275 million, with the final sale price reported to be between $1.08 million and $1.24 million, according to the Houston Association of Realtors, which keeps specific sale prices confidential.
This property features four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and sits on over an acre of land. It includes amenities like a heated swimming pool, a sauna, a dog-washing station, and a custom wine wall with a refrigerator.
The kitchen is equipped with a waterfall island and quartz countertops, in addition to a hidden pantry and a spa-like primary bathroom, along with a spacious three-car garage.
The home went under contract on September 26, just four days after it was listed, and the sale closed on October 15, according to the Houston Business Journal.
Biles clarified in the comments that this property was not their newly constructed mansion, which is also in Spring, Texas.
In November 2025, she announced that their custom-built home was finally finished—after a design phase that started in 2020 and lasted more than a year—which was then followed by waiting for the homeowners association’s approval before construction began in February 2022.
The construction of the new home wrapped up on November 11, 2025, after nearly three years.
Biles and Owens, who met on the dating app Raya in March 2020 when Owens was playing for the Houston Texans, got married in April 2023. They announced their engagement in February 2022.
Besides their Texas residence, the couple also owns a home in Chicago, Illinois, where Owens currently plays for the Indianapolis Colts during the NFL season.
Recently, Biles disclosed that her Porsche was stolen during a frightening break-in at their house in Chicago.
