Singer Renée Rapp Calls for Permanent Gaza Ceasefire at GLAAD Media Awards

In her acceptance speech at the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles, singer and actress Renee Rupp urged all fighters in the Gaza Strip to lay down their weapons and begin an “immediate” and “permanent ceasefire.” I called out.

rolling stone report GLAAD CEO and Chair Sarah Kate Ellis, citing the recent death of non-binary teenager Nex Benedict, announced the 2020 campaign to “defend gay and transgender rights at a national level.” Attendees were encouraged to vote in the 2018 election.

“We have to continue to tell our stories, continue to raise our voices and continue to push back against the rhetoric,” Ellis said. “Guys, this is not a fire drill. This is a real fire.”
