Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter may not have answered Caitlin Clark’s questions following Saturday’s incident with the Indiana Fever, but her social media likes told a different story.

Carter decided not to answer any of Clark’s questions after hip-checking Clark’s precision shot to the floor in the third quarter.

Far from receiving scorn from the bench, Carter was cheered on after scoring 19 points in a 71-70 loss.

Sky players decided to defend themselves through a “like” on X.

She said the Fever had no one to defend Clark on the court and “liked” a post that suggested Clark fell to the court when Carter pushed him. Other posts criticized people who were watching the league for the first time this season and commenting on the incident. Some posts disputed Clark’s story.

“The troll notifications are exploding. This is awesome,” Carter wrote to X.

The hip check became a talking point around the sports world on Saturday, but Clarke brushed it off when asked about it in his post-game press conference.

Sky’s Angel Reese criticized for boxing out hard in support of Caitlin Clark’s hard foul

“I wasn’t expecting that, but it’s just, ‘React, stay calm, and let your performance speak for itself,’ and that’s the reality,” she said of the Carter incident. IndyStar.

Fever general manager Lin Dan and head coach Christy Sides had different reactions.

“There is a difference between tough defense and unnecessary offensive moves!” Dan wrote in X’s post. “This needs to stop! The league needs to ‘clean up’ the crap! This is not what this league is about!!”

Syed told reporters he had sent the tapes to the league office.

“We’re trying to avoid getting fined,” Sides said, “and I’m just going to continue to send these possessions and plays to the league and hopefully they’ll take a closer look at some of the things that we see happening or think are happening.”

“I’m just happy that Kaitlyn handled it the way she did. It’s tough when you keep getting beaten down like she did and not getting rewarded with free throws or foul calls. She fights through it and keeps fighting. I appreciate how she handled it and I’m really proud of her.”
