‘Snow White’ star Rachel Zegler’s old post condemning Trump goes viral online

Disney's new “Snow White” remake has dealt with hurdles for many years, but one of the film's main debts polarizes rhetoric from its star, Rachel Zegler.

Since launching production in 2022, the film has made headlines for a year-long delay, discussions about how to portray the original Fairy Tail dwarf, and multiple controversies, including a candid lead actress who spurred backlash after the public ock laughs of the original Disney film and the supporter of President Donald Trump.

Zegler's history of social media controversy has been hit with Jonah Platt, son of one of the film's producers, defending his father, banging Zegler on Zegler and slamming his father for responding to social media users over his openly speaking political views of Zegler. Diversity reported The producer personally involved in the backlash surrounding Zegler after sharing the anti-Israel post in August while promoting the film.

“Yeah, my dad, producer [an] The hundreds of millions of dollars Disney IP had to line up in a row of hundreds of millions of dollars, fly away from his family and across the country, silenced his personal politics as his 20-year-old employee promoted a film he had signed a multi-million dollar contract and received payments and promoted,” wrote the young Platt.

Critics slam Snow White as an orbital film into the lowest Disney live-action remake in history

Zegler's social media controversy dates back at least to 2021. The actress, who will eventually star in a family-friendly film, tweeted “F–You” on Trump, later calling herself a “nasty nasty b—.”

PostsEven before the film began production in 2022, it became a virus shortly after the film's opening weekend, and was shared by X platform commentators.

She was also caught up in political controversy last August when she signed off to X's thread, saying “free Palestine.”

I wondered whether the political message was a subtle excavation of Gadot, a film co-star who defended his home country of Israel's military response to the October 7, 2023 attack on Hamastero.

Zegler generated even more outrage in November when he denounced people who voted for Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

“Trump supporters, Trump voters and Trump herself may never know peace,” the progressive actress posted on Instagram after Trump's victory, adding “f —Donald Trump.”

After the Swift backlash, Zegler reportedly reportedly refused to post social media until the film premiere, working with the “social media guru” that Disney team paid for.

“I would like to sincerely apologize for the election post I shared on Instagram last week. My feelings made me the most. Hatred and anger have further alienated us from peace and understanding.
