Listening Beyond Conservative Media
What happens if we turn our backs on conservative outlets and tune into celebrities and mainstream voices instead? Blaze TV host Stu Bruguiere notes that skepticism regarding media coverage, particularly when it comes to deaths involving ICE, isn’t shared by most people. He comments, “They’ll probably watch the video once. They’ll see everyone sharing it and confidently conclude this is murder, that ICE is acting like the Gestapo in Minnesota.”
One high-profile individual who seems to convey this narrative is actor Pedro Pascal. He shared a post on Instagram listing nine individuals he claims were killed by ICE in 2026. But, Stu isn’t entirely convinced about the details. He expresses doubt: “I don’t think all of these individuals were actually killed by ICE… Let’s dive deeper into the names; it will be interesting, but maybe also a bit misleading.”
Pascals’s list includes Gerardo Lunas Campos, a 55-year-old undocumented immigrant whose death was classified as a homicide while in ICE custody. “This could theoretically fit into this post. If it’s true, the responsible party should be held accountable,” says Stu. However, he adds, “If you mention that he had a criminal record for sexual contact with a minor, your sympathy might lessen a bit. They typically omit that context from Instagram.”
Next up is Keith Porter Jr., who was shot by an off-duty ICE officer on New Year’s Eve. Stu points out a scenario: “What if the officer was off-duty? He heard gunshots and believed there was an active shooter. He went outside to intervene and shot a man who had a rifle.” Reports also indicated that Porter may have been firing a gun into the air to celebrate the New Year, which is, of course, illegal and dangerous.
Then there’s another name on the list, Paradilla. Besides being undocumented, he had a lengthy criminal record. Another case mentioned is of Mr. La, who died in ICE custody while struggling with opioid withdrawal and was later found unresponsive in his cell.
The post continues with Luis Beltrán Yanez Cruz, who suffered a heart attack in prison, and Luis Gustavo Nuñez Casellas, who also passed away after dealing with chronic heart issues. Stu comments, “Then there’s Heber Sanchez Dominguez… yes, he was undocumented, but he was also driving without a license. Is that enough for a death sentence in jail? I honestly don’t know.”
Victor Manuel Díaz, another name mentioned, also took his own life. “Maybe new evidence will surface indicating he didn’t commit suicide but was harmed by ICE agents. While that’s a possibility for the investigation, if the current evidence suggests suicide, using this case as a murder narrative is misleading,” he asserts. “Some individuals even had heart attacks—that’s just wild.”
