Soros-backed DA Gascón allegedly used ‘mafia tactics’ to intimidate LA prosecutor who exposed woke policies

Los Angeles County Deputy District Attorney Tatiana Chahoian said recently. KTTV Her boss, George Gascón, the Soros-backed district attorney, claimed he used “mafia tactics” to blackmail her after she exposed his crime mitigation policies.

On February 26, Mr. Chahoian told the media that a recent memo urged prosecutors not to pursue crimes related to reckless driving, road racing, and non-injury road hijackings, and Mr. Gascón sounded the alarm. Chahoian said. KTTV She said she was in a “state of shock” when contacted by Gascon.

“The same act we’re talking about here is the same act that kills so many people. If someone fires a gun at another person and the shot is bad and misses, It’s like saying, ‘No, we’re not going to press charges because nothing happened,'” she told the news outlet.

Chahoian said that two days after revealing the memo’s instructions, two police officers showed up at his home to deliver a letter from Gascón’s office.

“It was a three-page letter telling me that I had lied, that I had violated policies with Mr. Gascón’s office, and that I had not obtained approval before speaking, as if I had violated the First Amendment. They essentially told me, as if I had no right, to ‘keep quiet and meet with my boss,”’ she explained.

fox news digital “Your statements to the media are false, misrepresentations of communications from Chief of Staff John Harlan, and inconsistent with LADA,” Laura Kessner, Gascón’s chief of central operations, said in a letter to Chahoian. “There is,” he reportedly wrote. [personnel policy handbook], and was misleading to the public. ”

“Your comments were also an insult to our colleagues who work diligently every day to promote public safety in an ethical manner,” the letter said.

Chahoian told KTTV that she was “very afraid” of losing her job.

“So threatening to use the police to silence people is literally a mafia tactic, and I’m not working for the mob,” Chahoian said, adding that communications from Gascón’s office He pointed out that it may have been delivered by email.

“We don’t live in a third world country where police are sent to people’s homes to intimidate them into silence,” she added.

Although Gascón has already avoided two recall efforts, he has faced incredible frustration and backlash from the Los Angeles County community over his crime mitigation policies. Blaze News previously reported that during a district attorney debate last month, the mother of a shooting victim confronted Gascón for having “more sympathy” for the criminal than the victim.

In response to Chahoian’s allegations, Gascón’s office told KTTV, “We cannot comment on specific personnel matters. That said, honesty is extremely important to any prosecutor’s office. “It is a fundamental responsibility of this office to address false claims made by others.” Failure to do so increases distrust of the important work we do every day and undermines our obligations to our people and justice. ”
