“South Park” Takes Aim at Peter Thiel’s Antichrist Rants
In its latest episode, which aired on October 15, “South Park” poked fun at conservative billionaire Peter Thiel and his fixation on the Antichrist. Thiel has recently been vocal about his fears regarding the return of the Antichrist, the downfall of capitalism, and the potential collapse of the United States.
His statements included an unusual claim that skeptics of AI are “legionaries of the Antichrist.” In this season, which has already provided plenty of commentary on the Trump administration, the show dives into Thiel’s obsessions, his connections with Vice President J.D. Vance, and even a dubious TikTok trend supposedly taking hold of Generation Alpha.
Throughout the episode, Vance’s character is seen attempting to thwart Satan’s plans to create the Antichrist, and he gives a talk at South Park Elementary about both the Antichrist and demonology.
Twisted Christian: Cartman is possessed and may be the key to stopping the Antichrist.
Catch an all-new episode of South Park tonight at 10/9pm on Comedy Central and tomorrow on Paramount+.
In a memorable moment, Thiel’s character explains, “Hello, everyone. I’m Peter Thiel, and I’m here to talk to you about the Antichrist. What is the Antichrist? It’s a newer, more human form of Satan that will be walking the Earth soon—maybe in the next six to seven weeks.”
The show didn’t hold back on critiquing Palantir, a firm co-founded by Thiel, which has been criticized for its surveillance technology. In one scene, Thiel’s character brags about how they’ve monitored students’ movements in school using AI—citing examples of students making covert gestures to each other.
Interestingly, Thiel’s character even appears to draw inspiration from “The Exorcist” as he conducts an exorcism on Cartman, who believes he descends from Satan. After being parodied earlier in the season, both Vance and Charlie Kirk seemed to take the satire in stride, with Kirk even appreciating the show’s sharp comedic direction.
