Trump Praises Spencer Pratt in Los Angeles Mayoral Race
Former President Donald Trump recently expressed his support for reality TV star Spencer Pratt’s campaign in the Los Angeles mayoral race. Reports indicate that Pratt is gaining traction, currently holding a solid position in the race for second place, despite being a Republican in the predominantly Democratic city.
During a visit to Washington, D.C., Pratt met with Trump in the Oval Office, a senior administration source confirmed. After the meeting, Pratt shared a photo on social media, showcasing himself and his son with an individual believed to be White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
Pratt, who made headlines with his unexpected run for mayor against incumbent Karen Bass, emphasized his commitment to the community in a social media caption, stating, “I will never stop fighting for my community.” The Oval Office meeting took place just before Trump left for a NATO summit in Turkey.
Spencer Pratt’s Political Journey
Sparking quite a bit of attention, Pratt transitioned from being known as an MTV antagonist to a legitimate mayoral contender. The source mentioned that during his time at the White House, Pratt met with several individuals to discuss various matters.
Recently, Pratt announced the formation of the WAR Foundation, aiming to address political corruption through media campaigns, research, and educational initiatives. This organization intends to promote transparency and push back against what it describes as socialism in government and culture.
Trump’s Endorsement and Remarks
Trump endorsed Pratt back in May, rallying California voters to rally behind him. Just after the Fourth of July, Pratt criticized New York City’s Mayor Zoran Mamdani over remarks made during Independence Day celebrations. Mamdani used the occasion to critique the U.S. government’s actions and its “arena of hegemony.” This sparked a strong response from Pratt, who expressed his disappointment with the Mayor’s stance.
In a video filmed near a fire site that had devastatingly affected his home, Pratt reiterated his views, stating, “Look at how the communists are constantly attacking your history.” He emphasized the importance of loving America, portraying it as a necessary act against tyranny. His comments have attracted considerable attention, further solidifying his presence in the race.
