Spirit Airlines passenger was ‘cussing, growling’ on flight before she was dragged off for viral meltdown

The Spirit Airlines passenger who was the source of last month’s virus outbreak is said to have clicked his teeth and growled at fellow passengers as he was being escorted off the plane before police intervened.

According to reports, Ronieka Dillard was taken into custody by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on March 23 due to her strange behavior on a flight to California. KVVU-TVHe cited his arrest record.

Police arrived at Terminal 1 at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas around 1 a.m. after a Spirit supervisor asked Dillard to be removed from the plane, citing “obstruction and threat to other passengers.”

While the plane was preparing to take off, Dillard was reportedly “swearing and yelling at other passengers.”

According to arrest records, a supervisor told police she tried to deduce it was Dillard before calling law enforcement, but the passenger “started screaming at her.”

A flight attendant on board also told police he saw Dillard “snacking his teeth in a biting motion at other passengers nearby.”

The two police officers who first made contact with the Santa Monica, Calif., woman said they “calmly explained” to her to grab her belongings and get off the plane after she made a bizarre rant and refused to disembark.
