Stephen Miller says mass deportations will be Trump’s first priority

Stephen Miller, who was chosen by President-elect Trump to be his deputy chief of staff for policy, said mass deportations will be his top priority.

Miller appeared on Fox News' “Sunday Morning Futures” and was asked by host Maria Bartiromo about President Trump's plan to begin deporting people on day one.

Miller said President Trump plans to “issue a series of executive orders that will close the border and launch the largest deportation operation in U.S. history.” Highlighted by Mediaite.

Miller called on Congressional Republicans to pass a border funding package that includes a “historic” increase in Border Patrol agents, funding for military operations and essential supplies for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Miller said some Republicans have been talking about border security and immigration “for decades.”

“But in the case of Donald Trump, this is what's going to happen. It's going to be the most important and significant domestic policy achievement in half a century,” he said.

President Trump has named Tom Homan as border czar. They are trying to quickly implement immigration promises made by President Trump during his campaign.

Homan was an early supporter of family separation.

The president-elect has indicated he intends to use the U.S. military to support his mass deportation plans.

Immigration advocates are bracing for what changes will come under the next administration, but the legal, logistical, and budgetary limitations that deportation poses, such as labor shortages in certain immigrant-heavy sectors, are uncertain. There are some doubts about this.
