Discussion on Immigration Issues with Stephen Miller
On Friday’s episode of FNC’s “The Ingraham Angle,” Stephen Miller, deputy chief of staff for policy at the White House, addressed some of the problematic statements made by Texas Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Miller pointed out that processing false asylum claims is a significant financial burden for American taxpayers.
Host Laura Ingraham remarked, “We’ve debated this extensively with the Democrats, especially their recurring theme about kids in cages. They talk about deportations as kidnapping, and sometimes these narratives resonate, particularly with younger audiences who may not fully grasp the history of this pro-open borders stance they push. What do you want to tell Americans who might be confused about this?”
Miller responded, “My message to Americans is that living under four years of open borders with Democrat leadership was a nightmare. You don’t need to imagine it—you experienced that situation before Trump took office. Those years saw record drug overdose deaths, soaring illegal immigration, struggling schools overwhelmed by the influx of undocumented children, crowded emergency rooms, and hospitals shutting down. Social services were stretched to breaking point, and criminal gangs were taking over communities. Take, for instance, the Tren de Aragua, which infiltrated housing complexes. We saw two illegal immigrants from Venezuela, affiliated with the Tren de Aragua, apprehended at the border under Democrat policies, and then released. Tragically, they went on to kidnap and murder a young Texas girl.”
“Talarico doesn’t acknowledge her name or the tragedy of her death, showing no concern—it’s clear he would continue this cycle. He has labeled ICE agents as kidnappers and removal centers as detention camps, using language that incites violence against them. Remember last year in Texas when a sniper targeted ICE agents, echoing Talarico’s rhetoric? In that specific case, it involved a repeat illegal entrant who voluntarily returned to his own country with his child. What message is Talarico sending? That families should be separated? That Mexicans should live in Mexico without their children? There are about 130 million Mexicans in Mexico, many of whom have children, and they should be able to live with them.”
Miller concluded by noting, “Lastly, I want to emphasize the deception the Democrats engage in by encouraging illegal immigrants to submit fraudulent asylum claims. Did you know, Laura, that the cost of adjudicating just one false asylum claim is equivalent to providing cancer treatment for one American child with pediatric cancer? For every fraudulent claim they support, we could offer free cancer care to an American citizen.”
