Steve Kerr shares a strong message with Warriors fans regarding LeBron James.

Coach Steve Kerr of the Warriors has certainly stirred up excitement among NBA enthusiasts this summer.

A fan recently approached Kerr, suggesting that the team should sign LeBron James. To this, Kerr replied, “We got him.”

This moment caught attention on social media, especially following an earlier pitch made by Stephen Curry to James about becoming a free agent during his appearance on “Good Morning America.”

Since that exchange, there’s been a lot of buzz regarding the Warriors’ potential moves, with some fans interpreting Kerr’s response as indicating that the franchise might need to prepare for the possibility of losing James, who holds the record as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. This aligns with ESPN Insider Shams Charania’s updates on the ongoing situation.

Charania indicated that the only teams still being considered by James are the Cavaliers, Heat, and 76ers. Some analysts suggest that James is leaning toward the Eastern Conference, positioning the Warriors—once thought to be frontrunners—as the current underdogs in this race.

Initially, many believed the Warriors had a solid shot at bringing James aboard. The chemistry that developed between Curry and James during their time with Team USA at the Paris Olympics was undeniable. Additionally, James and Kerr also built a connection during this period.

That said, the idea of Curry and James teaming up once again seems a bit far-fetched. A return to the Cavaliers might be the most fitting choice for James, allowing him to tie up loose ends related to his legacy. Still, thanks to Kerr’s recent comments, there’s a flicker of hope for Warriors fans.
