Store owner in the LA Fashion District attacked with a gun in public during the day

In a startling incident in Los Angeles’s Fashion District, a business owner was assaulted in broad daylight by two masked individuals who attacked him with a gun and stole his watch. The victim, Ronan Vered, a longtime Israeli entrepreneur, was targeted while he stood in the doorway of his store on Wednesday, October 21, at about 3:15 p.m.

Surveillance footage from the store captured the dramatic moment when the assailants exited a black sedan and rushed at Vered. The video, which has since been shared online, shows one of the attackers pointing a firearm at Vered’s head before brutally kicking and striking him to the ground, all while customers were present inside the store.

The robbers took turns assaulting him, and one of them delivered a vicious pistol-whipping to his head, leaving a pool of blood on the ground afterward.

Although Vered struggled to defend himself, one suspect successfully grabbed the valuable Rolex watch from his wrist during the chaos before both men escaped in their getaway vehicle.

According to Officer Tony Im of the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were dispatched to the scene following reports of a robbery involving a man in his 50s. While police did not initially disclose the watch’s value, reports indicate it was worth around $50,000.

A bulletin was issued describing two male suspects, both Black, who were seen driving a black sedan. As of now, the investigation is still in progress, and no additional information about the suspects has been shared.

Spencer Pratt, a former candidate for mayor in Los Angeles, posted the alarming footage on social media, expressing concern for the safety of the city. He remarked on how calm the robbers appeared during the incident, highlighting his frustration with the lack of fear of being apprehended. “Good luck, LA! Ain’t nobody coming to help you,” he warned.

As authorities continue to investigate, the motive behind the attack remains unclear, and no suspects have been apprehended.
