‘Straight Hypocrites’: Chris Cuomo Says Dems Make ‘Fundamental Mistake’ By Trying To ‘Match Trump’s Tactics’

NewsNation host Chris Cuomo said on Tuesday's podcast that Democrats are fundamentally wrong in trying to emulate President Donald Trump's strategy of using “nasty” rhetoric.

Comedian Adam Carolla said, chris cuomo project” Democrats are doing themselves a disservice by opposing everything Trump stands for, he said. Mr. Cuomo agrees with this, saying that they represent the “establishment side,” but Mr. Trump does not, and while it seems hypocritical that Democrats are trying to imitate Mr. Cuomo, Mr. Cuomo He added that this will help avoid reputational damage caused by his comments. “The fundamental mistake Democrats make is trying to match President Trump's tactics, but there's only one President Trump. There's only one person who can get away with saying offensive shit you shouldn't say. Because that person represents something different. Everyone else is being judged for their role on the establishment side,” Cuomo said. “And they hate the establishment. He doesn't. So he can say to you, 'Oh, that Carola, you disagreed with me last week.' He's a piece of shit, that guy's a mongrel. And he liked what you said, and he said, “Yeah, he's a good guy, so I'm going to help Carola with this.'' He said the right thing. ”

“Normally you'd be like, 'Wait a minute, no, let's remember what I said before.' That's not the case with Trump,” he continued. “But when Democrats try to play it that way, they just look like hypocrites, and they don't treat President Trump that way because they don't realize that he represents something different than them. I feel dissatisfied with that.”

Democratic rhetoric has come under fire recently after the confirmation hearings for defense secretary nominee Pete Hegseth, with some experts saying their questioning of him backfired.

Mr. Cuomo himself criticized Virginia Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine for using the hearing to criticize Mr. Hegseth over his past marriage. Mr. Kaine suggested that the candidate's alleged extramarital affairs showed he was not willing to faithfully uphold his oath of office as secretary of defense.

“So because of his marriage, does that mean he can't trust his oath of office? There are two things that are unpleasant. How many people on that committee, how many people in Congress, have ever committed adultery? “Can Caine pass the test of not being able to honor his oath of service? Caine could be sitting alone in that room,” the NewsNation host said. “Who cares when we're talking about being a top warrior, not a pastor?”
