United States Supreme Court dominated He opposed a request by President-elect Donald Trump's lawyers to delay sentencing in a case involving hush money paid to adult film employee Stormy Daniels.
The court ruled against Trump on Thursday by a narrow 5-4 margin.

A jury found Mr. Daniels guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records for more than $130,000 paid to Mr. Trump to prevent him from telling the press about his affair with Mr. Trump. He denies the charges.
Trump will be the first US president to be convicted of a criminal offense and, barring extreme circumstances, the first US president to be elected as a felon.
Judge Juan M. Marchan indicated he intended to grant Mr. Trump “unconditional release,” which would allow him to avoid prison, fines, or probation.
Marchand had previously denied delaying sentencing, arguing that Trump's immunity claim did not apply to acts he personally committed.
President Trump criticized the judge in a social media post.
“In the end, the Biden/Harris Justice Department forced Mr. Bragg to make something up to embarrass Mr. Trump. But what the corrupt and completely contradictory political hack judge did in this sham trial, and now What they were doing was even more serious,” Trump wrote.
“The judge fabricated the facts and the law. This is no different than any other New York judicial and prosecutorial witch hunt. It cost millions of jobs, billions of dollars in taxes, and caused businesses to flee New York.” That's why I'm here,” he added.
