Recent reports indicate that President Trump’s approval ratings have climbed as his administration works towards peace with Iran.
In a recent survey, Trump’s approval rating is at 43%, a slight increase from 42% in March. Interestingly, the previous survey from June 19th to 21st showed a jump to 47%, although the disapproval rate remained steady at 53%.
The reports suggest this bump in ratings reflects American voters’ acknowledgment of the administration’s attempts to end a near four-month conflict. Additionally, the report highlights the impact of Trump’s participation in the G7 and a notable drop in U.S. gas prices.
Gas prices have recently dipped below $4 per gallon across the country. Over the past four weeks, prices at the pump have consistently decreased. Since May 21, the national average has dropped from a high of $4.56; as of June 23, the average was $3.9260, down from $4.5290 just a month prior. However, these prices still don’t compare to the record highs of the summer of 2022, when they reached $5.0160.
On Tuesday, Trump announced that 19 million barrels of oil had spilled from the Strait of Hormuz, calling it “an all-time record.” He further noted that oil prices have plummeted, declaring, “the world is a safer place!”
This announcement came amid reports that Iran had closed the waterway and suggested strict measures be implemented. Trump reportedly cautioned Iran by saying that if they shut down, they would face severe consequences, even suggesting they wouldn’t be able to return to their country.
Talking with Breitbart News Daily, State Department spokesman Tommy Piggott stated that there is no ambiguity regarding Trump’s aims against Iran. He emphasized that Trump’s objectives are clear: preventing the Iranian regime from obtaining nuclear weapons.
Piggott detailed various operations, including “Operation Maximum Pressure,” focusing on hindering Iran’s nuclear ambitions and conventional military capabilities. He noted that these actions align with the interests of the American people.
In a separate weekly survey, 44% of Americans expressed uncertainty about their stance on the deal negotiated with Iran, while 32% indicated support and 24% opposed it.
