Mansion Break-In in Massachusetts Leads to Arrests

Two men wearing masks have been apprehended after a break-in at a $20 million mansion in Massachusetts. The suspects are accused of assaulting the housekeeper, restraining her, and stealing valuables worth hundreds of thousands, all while brandishing a firearm.

One of the suspects, 25-year-old Emmaje Brown, faces multiple charges. These include burglary, kidnapping, assault with a dangerous weapon, and armed robbery, among others.

Brown was arrested in Gloucester, with prosecutors labeling him a potential threat to the community, according to reports.

On March 28, a neighbor from Payne Street in Beverly contacted 911 to report the invasion.

Authorities discovered that the armed thieves attacked the housekeeper, who was home alone, restraining her and making off with various valuables. During the incident, they reportedly took her cellphone and discarded it into the water. The housekeeper was forced to gather valuables and put them in trash bags.

Homeowner Thomas Swan III expressed his distress, stating to WCVB, “What they did to my housekeeper was really horrible.” He detailed the traumatic experience, noting she was held at gunpoint and ultimately tied up in the garage.

Once the suspects left, the housekeeper managed to escape to a neighbor’s residence for assistance. She was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening, and she has since been released.

Prosecutors shared that she recounted how one suspect threatened her with a firearm, closely monitoring her movements throughout the house.

The suspects allegedly fled in a stolen Porsche, which was later found abandoned near a cemetery in Lynn.

Thanks to a Ring camera, police tracked Brown through cellphone data to New York City, where he supposedly met with a jeweler. Local and federal officers ultimately located more than $300,000 in cash and several gold items in his vehicle.

Interestingly, authorities also noted that Brown had a connection to the house. He was identified as the ex-boyfriend of another housekeeper employed at the mansion.

Brown had previously faced charges related to domestic battery, as revealed during court proceedings. He is currently being held without bail until his next court appearance on April 21.
