Federal authorities believe a Jordanian immigrant caught trying to enter the United States through the northern border is a terrorist, according to ICE Removal Operations in Seattle.

Mohamed Hassan Abdellatif Albana, 41, was captured near the northern border of Linden, Washington, the agency said in a press release Wednesday. It is unclear when and where he sneaked into this country.

U.S. immigration authorities identified Mr. Albana as a “known or suspected terrorist,” the agency said.

According to the agency, Albana was returned to Jordan on November 15 after completing immigration procedures.
