Suspicious drone activity near Trump’s NJ golf course prompts FBI investigation, FAA airspace restrictions

Federal agents have been investigating a series of mysterious drone sightings over central New Jersey in recent weeks, not far from President-elect Donald Trump's Bedminster golf course.

Federal aviation authorities closed the airspace above the civilian club and a nearby military installation after multiple residents reported seeing suspicious drones flying over the past two weeks.

The Newark Federal Bureau of Investigation said in a joint statement with the New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness that “witnesses observed a group of possible drones and fixed-wing aircraft,” both from He said he had received a report.
