'Tan Mom' reports that ICE almost deported her due to her skin color — Sara Gonzales seeks evidence

Patricia Krentcil, known for her strikingly dark spray tan from her reality TV days, has made a surprising allegation: she claims that ICE agents confronted her outside a restaurant, questioned her citizenship based on her appearance, and almost handcuffed her.

“So, I was at a restaurant with my friends, and as we were leaving, the ICE agents stopped me. They asked if I was an American citizen, and I was like, ‘Yes.’ Honestly, it blew my mind. I was so tanned that I felt like they were about to arrest me, and who knows where I would’ve ended up,” she shared on the “Light. Tan. Up.” podcast.

Although she felt “scared,” Krentcil asserted that she managed to stay calm and extracted herself from the predicament.

She added, “They’re very discriminatory about color and nationalities, and honestly, I was in a tough spot. It was scary. I mean, Trump supports all this craziness.”

Krentcil went on to mention how she’s often told by those on the left about American citizens being detained and deported, stating that it seems like things were resolved pretty quickly, even if the incident did happen, which she seemed to doubt slightly. “I think… I’m going to need some proof for that,” she remarked.

BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales expressed skepticism about the situation. “Who gave her that spray tan? Where did she get it done? How often does she need to maintain it to look like that? Why isn’t this considered blackface?” she questioned.

Gonzales pointed out that Krentcil is a self-identified Republican who even attempted a Senate campaign, playing a clip from her campaign ad: “Hi, I’m Patricia. I’m a single mom of five beautiful kids, and I love my family just like you. You might recognize me as that tan mom from New Jersey, but that was ages ago. It was such a wild time with crazy tans and Snooki.”

Reflecting on changes in her life, she noted, “I lost my husband to cancer last year. Trust me, dealing with insurance companies is a challenge. I was even in a medically induced coma for two weeks, so I really understand how overwhelming navigating health care can be.”

Gonzales, however, critiqued the implication that simply having been a patient qualifies someone for a leadership role, stating, “Experiencing the healthcare system doesn’t make you fit to lead the country.”

In another campaign video, Krentcil remarked, “I was ridiculed by the media for having a different look.”

She also expressed some unconventional views, saying, “I think drag queens can be great role models for kids. Is that really so outrageous?”

Gonzales replied unequivocally, “Yes, everything you just said there is outrageous.”
