Taylor Swift Obtains Restraining Order Against Alleged Stalker
Taylor Swift has secured a temporary restraining order against a man who has reportedly been persistently intruding on her privacy. The singer filed the order against Brian Jason Wagner after learning he had been at her Los Angeles home multiple times over the last year.
In the legal filings, Swift expressed concern over Wagner’s unsettling claims. He allegedly made false statements regarding her personal life, suggesting that she believed she was the mother of his child and that a personal meeting was necessary. I mean, that’s just bizarre, right?
Swift’s documents reveal that Wagner began showing up near her residence in 2024, with several visits noted in July of that same year. On one occasion, he reportedly carried glass bottles that could be used as weapons. That’s alarming.
As if that weren’t enough, Wagner allegedly returned last month, saying he was “checking out a friend”—though Swift doubts the truth of that statement. Meanwhile, her security team discovered that Wagner had attempted to reach out to her even during his time in jail, writing multiple letters about his nonexistent romantic relationship with her.
It’s important to highlight that Wagner not only resurfaced in her life but also updated his driver’s license to reflect an address in Los Angeles, making his intentions seem even clearer, yet more troubling. The documents also mentioned that he’d sent dozens of threatening emails to her team. It feels as if he crossed a line.
Swift maintains that she has no connection to him and has never met him. However, the unease stemming from his visits and alarming communications pushed her to act on the restraining order after an unsettling encounter in May.
She expressed, “Both these recent visits and Mr. Wagner’s inappropriate and threatening communications about me escalated in the near few weeks created a fear of imminent harm.” A judge in Los Angeles has since granted her the temporary restraining order, ensuring she has some level of protection moving forward.
