Taylor Swift’s support loses Kamala voters — and Trump should have stayed out of it

Taylor Swift's endorsement of Kamala Harris has sparked outrage among many, not just because the average conservative cares about what Swift thinks, but because her policies have the power to resonate with impressionable young people.

But the ABC News/Ipsos poll suggests Swift's endorsement doesn't actually matter that much: 81% of voters say Swift's endorsement won't affect them, and just 6% are more likely to vote for Harris.

Additionally, 13% said Swift's endorsement made them less likely to vote for Kamala, which is why former President Donald Trump's response was probably not the best move.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “I hate Taylor Swift!”

“What does that even mean?” commented Pat Gray of Pat Gray Unleashed.

“After the news broke in his favor, the support went to him, not Kamala, who had the endorsement of Taylor Swift,” Keith Marinak agreed.

Gray also believes there are “too many weak spots in the Kamala agenda” that will lead to a never-ending stream of damaging material that Trump highlights rather than the pop star's political opinions.

“There's no need to do that. There's no reason to do that,” Gray said.
