Teenager Arrested After Violent Gas Station Fight in Arkansas

An incident at a gas station in Arkansas has left a teenager in jail and another man hospitalized with serious injuries, following a viral video of a brutal fight that gained widespread attention over the weekend.

The Hot Springs Police Department responded to the Circle K gas station on Malvern Street late Saturday night, approximately 85 miles from Little Rock. Upon arrival, officers found 20-year-old Noah Epperson unconscious and suffering from multiple injuries.

Reports indicate that a fight had erupted earlier that evening at a nearby party. Epperson’s friends mentioned that after this altercation, they relocated to the Circle K gas station, only to be pursued by another group.

Video footage from the scene depicted Epperson being punched and stomped on by multiple individuals. As the commotion escalated, bystanders quickly left the area, prompting local residents to call the police out of concern for potential injuries or fatalities.

Epperson was subsequently hospitalized, where he was placed in the intensive care unit due to serious injuries, including a brain bleed, a fractured skull, and a fractured jaw. A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist with his medical expenses.

Just two days following the incident, 18-year-old Cooper Camferdam turned himself in to authorities. Police have stated that he was captured on video stomping on Epperson’s head, which rendered him unconscious.

Katie Epperson, Noah’s mother, shared that her son suffered significant injuries, including damage to his left ear which has left him deaf on that side. She noted that while the front of his face appeared normal, he had visible bruising on the sides of his head.

Authorities have charged Camferdam with first-degree felony assault and he is currently held at the Garland County Detention Center on a $500,000 bail. Police are also using the viral video to identify other individuals involved in the fight, and further arrests are anticipated.

Meanwhile, Katie Epperson has expressed her concern regarding her son’s lack of health insurance and is seeking public assistance for his medical bills, hoping for a swift recovery.

She emphasized her belief that the responsible party should be held accountable for the medical expenses incurred. “I don’t want anyone to get hurt,” she stated, advocating for law enforcement to handle the situation appropriately and justice to take its course.
