Teen who ran away was probably deceased for 'several weeks' before her body was discovered in D4vd’s Tesla, according to police.

Celesteri Bas Hernandez, the teenage runaway whose remains were discovered in an abandoned Tesla belonging to singer D4VD in Los Angeles, is believed to have died several weeks prior to the grim find, according to police.

The investigation into her death began after her body was discovered on September 8, shortly after the vehicle was towed to a lot in Hollywood.

This unsettling discovery occurred just a day after Celeste’s 15th birthday, indicating she was only 14 when she died.

“We know that the Tesla was parked where it was towed for several weeks, so it’s very likely that Celeste Rivas Hernandez had died several weeks before her body was found,” LAPD Captain Scott M. Williams stated.

As of now, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not confirmed the cause or circumstances surrounding her death, which leaves the potential for foul play unclear aside from the obscured condition of her remains.

D4VD, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has not yet been labeled as a suspect in this troubling case.

The artist’s team mentioned that he is cooperating with the investigation. Law enforcement had previously raided a property in the Hollywood Hills, seizing “some evidence” in connection with the case.

However, authorities are not providing any details regarding the nature of D4VD and Celeste’s relationship.

“We’re looking into everything,” Williams commented. “It’s too early for me to say anything definitive about their relationship.”

In the meantime, screenshots from D4VD’s Discord fan server have surfaced, suggesting that he was involved with a teen named “Celeste” around the time of Rivas Hernandez’s death.

Interestingly, D4VD reportedly created an unreleased song that mentions “Celeste” and alludes to her mother dating someone named “David.”
