Ten most dangerous criminal undocumented immigrants taken into custody in 2025

During President Donald Trump’s initial year in office, over 2.5 million undocumented immigrants have reportedly exited the U.S. This significant change is attributed to his administration’s intensified efforts on immigration enforcement and a comprehensive deportation strategy.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has focused its deportation efforts on undocumented immigrants with criminal records, particularly those involved in violent crimes. DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin criticized the media for allegedly downplaying the severity of these arrests, framing undocumented immigrants with violent criminal backgrounds as victims.

“The dedicated personnel at ICE are putting their lives on the line for the American public, yet the media continues to obscure the truth,” McLaughlin stated.

In light of this, here are ten of the most egregious cases involving illegal immigrants arrested for violent crimes this year.

1. Mohamed Sabry Soliman – Colorado Molotov Attack

On June 1, Mohamed Sabri Soliman, an Egyptian national residing in the U.S. on an expired visa, faced federal charges for first-degree murder, assault, and a hate crime. He allegedly set attendees on fire at a pro-Israel event in Boulder.

Authorities have labeled the incident as inspired by terrorism. Reportedly, Soliman hurled two Molotov cocktails at the crowd, exclaiming “Liberate Palestine!” He was found carrying a weed spray backpack containing flammable liquid and at least 18 additional Molotov cocktails.

Thirteen individuals sustained injuries during the assault, and an 82-year-old woman, Karen Diamond, succumbed to her injuries later.

2. Emiliano Garduno-Galvez – LA’s Violent Anti-Law Enforcement Attack

Shortly thereafter, Emiliano Garduno-Galvez was apprehended on attempted murder charges for allegedly launching Molotov cocktails at law enforcement during anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles. His actions were captured on video.

The DHS noted that Garduno-Galvez had a past deportation and a criminal record, including charges for grand theft and driving under the influence.

3. Gabriel Hurtado-Cariaco – Terrorist in Torren de Aragua, Nebraska

On June 20, DHS revealed that ICE had arrested Gabriel Hurtado-Carriaco, an illegal Venezuelan immigrant associated with the notorious gang Torren de Aragua. This gang has been classified as a “foreign terrorist organization” by the Trump administration.

During a mission in Bellevue, Nebraska, Hurtado-Carriaco allegedly assaulted an ICE agent, inflicting severe injuries that necessitated hospitalization. After fleeing the scene, he was captured hours later and charged with attempted murder of a federal officer.

4. Harjinder Singh – Florida Illegal Commercial Driver Crash

Harjinder Singh, an undocumented immigrant from India, was arrested following a fatal crash on August 12 in Florida. Investigators concluded he made an illegal U-turn with a semi-truck, resulting in three deaths.

Singh now faces multiple counts of vehicular homicide, and his case has raised concerns about undocumented drivers on U.S. roads.

5. William Alexander Telles Amaya – Houston’s “habitual” child predator

On August 18, William Alexander Telles Amaya, a 35-year-old from El Salvador, was apprehended by ICE as a “habitual child predator.” He has a history of convictions related to child sexual crimes.

6. Jordanis Cobos Martinez – Dallas Beheading Suspect

On September 10, another Cuban illegal immigrant, Yordanis Cobos Martinez, was arrested in Dallas on suspicion of decapitating a merchant during an argument. His extensive criminal background includes various serious offenses.

7. Eduardo Aguilar – $10,000 TikTok bounty for deceased ICE agent

DHS apprehended Eduardo Aguilar, a Mexican illegal alien, on October 14 after he posted a threatening video on TikTok, inciting violence against ICE agents. He had previously been subject to a deportation order since 2019.

8. Sergio Noe de Nova Duarte – Hammer-wielding kidnapping case

Sergio Noe de Nova Duarte, a Mexican illegal immigrant, was detained on November 17 for allegedly attacking a jogger with a hammer in Texas.

9. Esteban Silva-Garcia – Pennsylvania Strangulation and Child Endangerment

Earlier this month, ICE announced the arrest of Esteban Silva Garcia, an illegal alien from Mexico, on charges including strangulation and endangering a child’s welfare.

10. Santos Paulino Vázquez-Ramirez – New York taxi driver strangled

Just before Christmas, DHS revealed the arrest of Guatemalan illegal immigrant Santos Paulino Vasquez Ramirez for allegedly murdering a taxi driver over a fare dispute. His body was discovered days later, and he had been ordered to leave the country previously.
