A Tennessee man was arrested with dozens of bottles of bootleg alcohol after police received a tip that a bootlegger had discovered it, authorities said Monday.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, investigators responded to a call and arrived at the 200 block of High Ridge Road in Johnson City, conducted a search of the property and interviewed the suspect, Jeremy Stines, 36.
Stein told deputies there was a still in a barn on the east end of the property and verbally agreed to search the structure, the sheriff’s office said.
Officers found liquor manufacturing equipment and 81 quarts of product, all of which was seized, officials said.

Unlawful manufacture of alcoholic beverages and unlawful storage of liquor for sale are both Class A misdemeanors, and possession of a still is a Class B misdemeanor.
