A 37-year-old Memphis-area man has been indicted on charges of making threats against President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Obama, the Department of Justice announced Friday.
Kyle Alton Hall, 37, is accused of posting several times on X last month threatening to shoot and assassinate Biden and crash his plane, as well as threatening to assassinate Harris and Obama.
Hall was indicted on federal charges Tuesday, including two counts of threatening the president and vice president and one count of threatening a former president. He was arrested by the Southaven Police Department in Mississippi on July 30 and taken into custody.

If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison on each charge.

Earlier this week, an Arizona man was arrested after a manhunt for allegedly threatening to kill former President Trump as the Republican presidential candidate was traveling to the state on Thursday for an event at the southern border.
Last month, a 20-year-old man opened fire on former President Trump while he was speaking at an outdoor rally, leaving him with a grazed ear in an assassination attempt. The gunman was later shot and killed by police.

Several U.S. Secret Service agents have been placed on administrative leave as the investigation into the assassination attempt continues.
