Texas Department of Public Safety officials announced the arrest of 12 dangerous “criminal illegal immigrants” who were on the state’s Most Wanted list.
Texas DPS officials have arrested 12 “illegal immigrants committing crimes” from the state’s most wanted list, DPS announced. reportThe list also includes immigrants who entered the U.S. illegally and committed additional crimes while in Texas.

Those arrested include fugitives wanted on charges of human trafficking, commercial sex trafficking, evading arrest, child molestation, DUI, sexual assault, assault causing bodily injury, discharging a firearm resulting in death, indecency of a child by sexual contact, burglary and aggravated sexual assault of a child.

- Samuel Alexander Castro CanasCastro Canas, a criminal illegal immigrant from El Salvador, was arrested in Huntsville on June 25, 2024. Acting on lead information, DPS Special Agents located and arrested Castro Canas. His criminal history includes arrests for human smuggling and alien deportation. He had been wanted in Kinney County since November 2023 on three counts of human smuggling.
- RaycelCarrion TamayoCarrion Tamayo, a criminal illegal immigrant from Cuba, was arrested in Del Valle on June 20, 2024. DPS Special Agents executed an active arrest warrant for Carrion Tamayo at the Travis County Correctional Facility. His criminal history includes arrests for Commercial Sex Trafficking, Aggravated Sexual Assault, Aggravated Promoting Prostitution, Human Trafficking: Persistent Sexual Assault, and Refusal of Alien Admission. Carrion Tamayo had been wanted in Travis County since August 2023 on a sexual assault charge. Carrion Tamayo will remain in the Travis County Correctional Facility.
- Juan Herrera LizamaHerrera Lizama, a criminal illegal immigrant from El Salvador, was arrested in Garland on June 13, 2024. Acting on lead information, DPS Special Agents and Garland Police located and arrested Herrera Lizama, who has prior arrests for DUI, prostitution, and evading arrest/custody with a vehicle. Herrera Lizama was last deported from the United States in May 2022. Additionally, he was wanted in Dallas County since September 2022 on a charge of indecent acts with a child by sexual contact.
- Charlie Cordova PerezCordova-Perez, a criminal illegal immigrant from Mexico, was arrested in Kyle on June 13, 2024. Acting on lead information, DPS Special Agents located and arrested Cordova-Perez, who has a prior arrest for lewd acts with a child. Cordova-Perez had been wanted out of Hidalgo County since June 2023 for lewd acts with a child.
- Alex Adriel Rios GuzmanRios Guzman, a criminal illegal immigrant from Honduras, was arrested in Wichita Falls on June 11, 2024. Following up on a lead, DPS Special Agents located and arrested Rios Guzman, who had prior arrests for DUI, Possession of Marijuana, Alien Refusal and Alien Remaining Without Admission or Parole. Rios Guzman was wanted in Dallas County for Sexual Assault and in Wichita County since January 2024 for DUI.
- Rigoberto Armand Arevalo ZavalaArevalo Zavala, a criminal illegal immigrant from El Salvador, was arrested in Houston on June 10, 2024. Acting on a lead tip, Texas State Police Special Agents, Texas Highway Patrol, and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Arevalo Zavala, who had a history of arrests for alien deportation and DUI. Arevalo Zavala had been wanted out of Harris County since March 2024 for alleged sexual assault.
- Alvina Sanchez CastanedaSanchez-Castaneda, a criminal illegal immigrant from Mexico, was arrested in Austin on June 10, 2024. Following lead information, DPS Special Agents located and arrested Sanchez-Castaneda, who has prior arrests for smuggling and aliens without admittance or parole. Sanchez-Castaneda had been wanted out of Kinney County since February 2024 for smuggling a person under the age of 18.
- Juan Francisco Molina GarciaMolina Garcia, a criminal illegal immigrant from Mexico, was arrested in Pilot Point on June 5, 2024. Based on lead information, DPS Special Agents, along with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, located and arrested Molina Garcia. Molina Garcia has a criminal history including a DUI arrest. Molina Garcia had been wanted in Denton County since December 2023 for sexual assault and failure to appear for DUI.
- Jesus MedinaMedina, a criminal illegal immigrant from Mexico, was arrested in Houston on June 5, 2024. Following lead information, DPS Special Agents and Houston Police Department located and arrested Medina. Medina’s criminal history includes arrests for DUI, possession of a controlled substance, and refusal of entry for an alien. Medina was last deported from the United States in January 2024. He had been wanted in Harris County since March 2024 on a charge of indecent liberties with a child by sexual conduct.
- Israel Armando Salazar TovarSalazar Tovar, a criminal illegal immigrant from Mexico, was arrested in Waco on May 29, 2024. Following up on a lead, members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, including DPS Special Agents, located and arrested Salazar Tovar. Salazar Tovar’s criminal history includes arrests for human smuggling, assault causing bodily injury to a family member, refusal of entry of an alien, possession of marijuana, and trespass. Salazar Tovar was last deported from the United States in January 2022 and had been wanted in Kinney County since February 2022 on charges of human smuggling and human smuggling for financial gain.
- Mario Samuel AsensioAsencio, a criminal illegal immigrant from Guatemala, was arrested in Dallas on May 28, 2024. Acting on lead information, DPS Special Agents located and arrested Asencio. Asencio’s criminal history includes arrests for discharging a firearm in a deadly act at an individual, DUI, and trespassing as an alien without admission or parole. Asencio had been wanted by Dallas County since January 2023 for a probation violation related to discharging a firearm in a deadly act.
- Pedro Constanza LopezConstanza Lopez, a criminal illegal immigrant from El Salvador, was arrested in Houston on May 22, 2024. Acting on a lead tip, DPS Special Agents located and arrested Constanza Lopez. Constanza Lopez’s criminal history includes arrests for lewd acts with a child, DUI, and engaging in intercourse with an alien without admissibility or parole. Constanza Lopez had been wanted in Harris County since March 2022 for lewd acts with a child.

- Servando Trejo Duran Jr.Duran, a criminal illegal immigrant from Mexico, was arrested in Baytown on June 6, 2024. DPS special agents and officers assigned to the Texas Anti-Gang (TAG) Center in Houston arrested Duran, who had a criminal record with arrests and convictions for burglary and murder. In 2009, Duran was paroled and deported from the United States. In February 2023, Duran was arrested and released on bail for tampering with government records. In March 2023, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued a warrant for his arrest for parole violation (original crime: murder with a deadly weapon). - Victor Hugo Choks GonzalezChox Gonzalez, a criminal illegal immigrant from Mexico, was arrested in Fort Worth on June 13, 2024. DPS Special Agents arrested Chox Gonzalez, who has a criminal record for DUI with a child under 15 years of age, assault causing bodily injury to a family member, and removal from the United States. In 2021, he was arrested and released on bail on charges of assault and failure to provide identification/false/fictitious information. Later that year, a warrant was issued for his arrest for failure to provide identification/false/fictitious information and failure to provide identification as a fugitive. In 2023, Arlington Police issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact. Just one month ago, Texas DPS officials announced the creation of a list of the “10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants,” Breitbart Texas reported. The next day, DPS announced the arrest of Servando Trejo Duran Jr., 62, who was just taken into custody this afternoon in Baytown.
According to the Public Security Bureau:
Duran is a criminal illegal immigrant of Mexican origin with ties to eastern Harris County, including Baytown and Deer Park, Texas. In 1980, Duran was arrested by the Baytown Police Department on suspicion of burglary and subsequently received 10 years of probation. In 1986, Duran was convicted of murder in Harris County and subsequently received a life sentence. He was paroled by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) in January 2009 and deported from the United States later that year. In February 2023, Duran was arrested by the Deer Park Police Department on suspicion of tampering with government records and released on bail. On March 1, 2023, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles issued an arrest warrant for parole violation (original crime: murder with a deadly weapon).
A few days later, police arrested the man who was at the top of the most wanted list: Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan law enforcement officers arrested 38-year-old Victor Hugo Chocus Gonzalez.

Chox Gonzalez is a criminal illegal immigrant from Mexico with ties to Tarrant County, including the cities of Pantego and Arlington. In 2016, he was convicted of DUI with a child under 15 years of age and assault on a family member resulting in injury. That same year, Chox Gonzalez was deported from the United States. In 2021, he was arrested in Tarrant County on charges of assault and failure to identify/false/fictitious information and released on bail. Later that year, an arrest warrant was issued by Tarrant County for failure to identify/false/fictitious information and failure to identify as a fugitive. In 2023, Arlington Police issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact.
Under Governor Abbott’s Operation Lone Star, Texas law enforcement agencies have arrested more than 43,400 criminal aliens who illegally crossed the border into the Lone Star State from Mexico. These arrests have resulted in approximately 39,000 felony charges.
