Texas, Border Patrol, DOD Working Together to Stop Migrant Crossings

“Unity of service and strength” is the message from the El Paso sector chief as his agents work with the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Department of Defense to increase security along the border.

Chief Patrol Agent Scott Good posted a video to X showing the multi-agency effort to secure the Texas-Mexico border. Good said Texas DPS, and his Border Patrol agents are working together “to protect and serve.”

“Together we win,” Good wrote.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott celebrated the new state-federal partnership, writing, “Texas is proud to partner with the new Trump Administration to finally secure our borders.”

On Sunday, Abbott told Fox News, “In the first hour of his (Trump's) tenure as president, we saw changes where troops were sent to the border… to keep people from crossing the border illegally. did.”

The governor said the number of migrants crossing has decreased “every day” since President Trump took office.

“All of a sudden we have commanders who care about national security. They care about securing our borders and they're trying to enforce the law,” Abbott said.

Texas DPS Spokesman Lt. Col. Chris Olivarez said CBS News, “Now we have support at the federal level, which is what we've been hoping for for the last four years. I think it will help us and the governor and what he can do with Operation Lone Star.”
