Texas man arrested for 'making terroristic threats' against ICE agents, Noem

The Texas man has been arrested for “terrorist threat” against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and Homeland Security (DHS) director Christie Noem, the Dallas Homeland Security Investigation Division said Wednesday.

US citizen Robert King was taken into custody after making threats in McKinney, Texas, the agency said in the post. Social Platform x.

“King's incredible social media post included the intent to 'open the fire' if an agent was seen in the neighborhood,” the group posted with a photo of a man in handcuffs and several police officers with blurred faces.

The threat and advice to shoot ice agents, especially those who are not wearing uniforms, comes after several students who engaged in Palestinian parent protests have been taken into custody.

A doctoral degree at Turkish National and Tufts University, Rumeysa Ozturk student, was arrested by a federal officer in mediocre clothing and taken away in an unmarked van. Security footage from the scene went viral online, causing anger as he was in the US on a visa, causing no clear identification of the agent.

This is the latest in the Trump administration's efforts to strengthen deportation across the country.

In a statement to The Hill, a DHS spokesperson repeated Noem's post.

“As Director Norme said, if you attempt to intimidate or harm a law enforcement officer, we will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law,” the spokesman said. “The promises, the promises are kept.”
