A man who admitted to destroying a woman's Tesla in a Whole Foods parking lot in Houston claims the incident was fueled by road rage, not by hateful Elon Musk.
Click2housetton Report The 34-year-old Nicholas Carrion advanced as the person in charge of destroying Tesla in a parking lot at Houston Whole Foods on February 13, 2025. The incident sparked the horrors of politically motivated violence that lie within the national thread of domestic terrorist attacks, first filmed on video. However, Carrion argues that his actions are the result of road rage with Tesla drivers. In a strange move, Carrion went to the media to plead for his case.

According to Carrion, the incident began when a woman driving a Tesla cut off him. Enraged at her driving, he took her to the parking lot. “I felt angry because a woman cut me off,” Carion explained to KPRC 2 News. “We were both in Whole Foods so I didn't follow her directly. I went out and went to the store. But after shopping, I couldn't go back outside and let it go.”
Surveillance footage from the Whole Foods parking lot shows Carrion using a key to scratch the sides of a parked Tesla before getting into and driving in his car. The video of the incident aired on KPRC 2 News last Saturday, with authorities urging the public to contact the Houston Police Department (HPD) Property Crimes Division, along with information about the then justified man.
Carrion is currently facing a charge of mischief of a felony crime for the damages he inflicted on Tesla, estimated to exceed $2,500. Despite the ongoing FBI investigation into recent Tesla vandalism cases across the country, Houston police have confirmed they do not face terrorist charges related to this particular incident, despite much being thought to be related to political grievances targeted at Elon Musk.
In a message directed at the Tesla owners, Carion expressed regret at his actions and the fear they caused her. “I wasn't going to cause you that much of a fear,” he said. “This was never politically motivated. I hope you can live a normal life and not be afraid to do normal activities and drive in Tesla.”
However, the woman whose Tesla was destroyed said she was unaware of the road rage incident that had previously been involved in carrion. She expressed distrust of the situation and pointed out that if she had known about the conflict, she would not have left the vehicle in the parking lot.
