Former Teacher and Boyfriend Arrested in Texas
A former substitute teacher in Texas, along with her boyfriend, has been taken into custody on charges related to inappropriate sexual contact with a child and possession of child pornography.
Madison Paige Jones, 30, was arrested on December 19 in Midlothian. Charges against her include one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child, two counts of indecency with a child through sexual contact, and a count of possession of child pornography, according to local police.
She has been booked at the Ellis County Jail, with bail set at $90,000.
Interestingly, police clarified that Jones, who worked for the Midlothian Independent School District, is not accused of any crimes occurring at school or involving students from the district.
As part of her role, Jones substituted at various schools last year, including four days in total—one at Heritage High School and three at Baxter Elementary.
Upon learning of the allegations, the district promptly assured the family involved that Jones would no longer be employed.
“The district’s procedures for monitoring employee criminal histories worked as intended,” said a spokesperson for the school district. They added that they were quickly notified by the Department of Public Safety.
In the wake of Jones’ arrest, a second suspect, Zachary Dondlinger, aged 37, was also arrested on December 23 in connection with the case. Dondlinger has been charged with sexual battery against a child.
Currently, he is being held at the Winkler County Detention Center pending arraignment.
Reports suggest that Jones and Dondlinger were in a relationship, but further details about the nature of their alleged crimes remain undisclosed.
The investigation is still ongoing, according to authorities.
The police expressed gratitude to several agencies, including the Ellis County Child Advocacy Center and the Texas Department of Public Safety, for their assistance in locating and apprehending Dondlinger.
If anyone has additional information, they are encouraged to reach out to Midlothian Police Detective Dawson Fraser or contact the department directly.
