Apple has a sci-fi fan again Canyona new original science fiction romance starring Anya Taylor Joy and Miles Terror, that's what started Streaming today on Apple TV+.
Written by Zach Dean and directed by Scott Derrickson.Black phone, Dr. Strange),, Canyon is a compelling story about two elite assassins who fall in love despite being isolated in a tower separated by a deep trench. However, their love story faces complications as what they are trying to keep on trench continues to try to climb.

Canyon Plot Summary:
Levi (Teller) and Drasa (Taylor-Joy) are both elite snipers who do the mystical work protecting both sides of the deep canyon in private locations. The American Levi is stationed in the western tower. Drasa, a Lithauan, is stationed in the eastern tower. The soldier who saves Levi, JD (Sope Dirisu), tells Levi that he is strictly prohibited from contacting East Tower. He also tells Levi that there is a dangerous creature in the canyon called “The Hollow Men.”
Since World War II, the East and West have worked together to contain creatures. The entire canyon is “cloaked.” This means that it cannot be detected by radar, cells or other services. Bombs are placed around the boundary in case the creature tries to escape. The sniper is there to shoot what slides through the crack.
After JD falls, government horrors (led by boss Lady Sigourney Weaver) execute him. Levi and Drasa don't look great! For several months, both Levi and Drasa work without contact. They sometimes spy on each other with binoculars. For her birthday, Dorasa writes on a notepad and introduces herself by firing a gun into the air to get Levi's attention. The floodgates will then open. Levi and Drasa get to know each other by talking through notes and binoculars. They play chess (maybe nods to Taylor Joy's breakout role Queen's Gambit). They play drums (probably nodded from Miles Turner's breakout role Whipping).
On Drasa's birthday, they also have their first encounter with a hollow man, a crunchy grotesque, human-like creature from the canyon. However, Levi and Drasa manage to shoot them down. More months pass and they grow to know and care for each other. On Valentine's Day, Dorasa laments her father's death. Before she left, he told her that instead of succumbing to his fatal illness, he would take his life on Valentine's Day.
It's distraught to see Drasa, and Levi uses his gun to fire cables across the canyon. Drasa secures the cable to the wood, and Levi uses it to use a zipline to the East Tower. He even brings her flowers! They finally have the right date. They bond with the love of shooting things from afar. Levi reveals that his longest shot is 3,241 meters. Drassa asks if he was the one who made the long 3,800-meter world record shot in Yemen, but he denies it.
Levi also reveals that he was a poet and wrote a poem about Drassa, but he refuses to recite it. They spend the night together, Hubba Hubba. The next day, Levi rides the zip line and returns to West Tower. Before he can cross, some of the hollow men cause a boundary bomb. The cable breaks and Levi falls into the canyon.
Drasa grabs supply and submerges into the valley after Levi. She finds him living in a kind of upside down windy world filled with mutated monsters. While fighting them, they recognize that some of these monsters (which look like a cross between a human and a tree) are wearing World War II uniforms. They recognize that these are the soldiers stationed here.
While escaping the monster, Levi and Drasa discover an underground lab. Using propane-driven backup generators, East and West scientific collaborations were formed in the last year of World War II to develop “biochemically destructive missiles” and science You can see the old movies described by the person. However, an earthquake struck, damaging missiles and releasing dangerous chemicals into the air. When contaminated, the chemical fuses genetic DNA between organisms. “Human DNA has merged with plants, animals, and even insects,” explains the scientist. That's why the soldiers turned into mutated trees! It's giving It disappeared.
Scientists say if you've only been exposed for a few hours, you might be fine. Mutations begin within 5 days of exposure. In other words, Levi and Drasa need to leave here as soon as possible. But why did the government not blow up the canyon and eliminate this threatening chemical? Levi finds the answer on a computer in another room. Private and genetic research companies are studying canyon creatures and helping them understand how to make super soldiers. The company hired Levi and Drasa, not the government. of course!
Another: Levi learns that there is a protocol called “Strey Dog” on a computer. This will self-destruct the canyon. Activate it will destroy everything within a 4.2 km radius. You'll want to remember that later.
Levi and Drasa can discover useful old jeeps, connect them to snapped zipline cables, and expand the east wall. Yes, they escaped the canyon! But they now need to quarantine for five days and see if they are contaminated. They would also probably think that they should do that “self-destruction” in the canyon for the safety of the world. Levi will need to return to West Tower as check-in is scheduled with the boss. They agreed to a five-day quarantine and met in a week if safe. Before he zips with a new cable, Levi tells Drasa that he loves her. ah! Drasa also reveals that she is a 3.8 km shot person in Yemen.
Levi does a radio check-in, but her boss knows something is going on. The boss orders Levi to kill Drasa. He says he will. However, in order to be safe, the boss flies several men into the canyon to kill Levi. Meanwhile, Levi and Drasa are away from the grid by setting up bombs in the cloakers surrounding the canyon. When the helicopter arrives, Levi knows they are there to kill them. Both run to 3.9 km from the canyon before taking shots to activate the bombs and destroying the cloakkers. When the valley returns to the grid, the self-destruction protocol begins. Therefore, Levi and Drasa must run the remaining 400 meters and go outside with a 4.2 km radius to reach safely.
The boss and her daughter cannot escape within the time limit and die in an explosion that is exploded by an atomic bomb. Drasa can run safely. However, Levi has injured legs and slows down. As an explosion breaks through the forest, he throws himself into a nearby river. It's not clear if he'll make it.
Canyon Ending Description:
Drasa has been quarantined in the cave for five days and shows no signs of turning into a mutated plant monster. She pulls out the envelope that Levy must have given off screen. The directions on the front say that if they do not reach the place they agreed to meet within a week, they will open a letter at sunset. But she still wants them to meet. So she hasn't opened the letter yet.
When Levi does not appear at the meeting place by the sunset, Drasha opens the letter. It was a love poem that Levi wrote about Drassa, and he had not previously shared with her. Drassa sheds tears for her lost love and leaves.
The following month, Dorasa works as a waitress when Levi shows up at the restaurant. Levy apologises for being late and explains that he was injured. But he made it! Drasa teases Levi by defeating a record shot with a 3,900-meter shot. They kiss, which ends the film. Perhaps they are living happily ever after. Happy Valentine's Day!
