The Cannes Lions Festival Kicks Off with Extravagance
The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is set to start on Monday, promising a week filled with star-studded events, live performances, and lavish beach parties.
One company, 3C Ventures, has reportedly invested $3 million to create a beach setup and an additional $2 million for an exclusive invitation-only party planned for Monday night, sources indicate.
Founded by Michael Cassan, a notable figure in the Cannes Lions sphere, the company is organizing a “3Convene Dinner” in collaboration with IheartMedia and Walt Disney Company on the stylish terrace of the Louroc restaurant at the famous hotel Du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes.
There’s talk of an ultra-exclusive multi-course dinner prepared by a Michelin-starred team, specifically for select CEOs, CMOs, and company founders.
Following the formal dining experience, attendees will enjoy a “After Dark” party.
This gathering, known as the Pavilion, will feature DJ Questlove, marking the opening of the new venue at Du Cap.
UTA and Medialink are also hosting an “executive evening” at the charming hotel alongside DoorDash. Comedian Sebastian Maniscalco is on the lineup to entertain the VIP crowd, which includes athletes and creators.
Additionally, Grammy-winning artist St. Vincent is set to light up the stage as part of the festivities.
Returning to Cannes, rapper 50 Cent will be seen engaging fans at Snapchat Beach, while Charlie Puth is slated to join Spotify’s VIP cocktail event.
The music streaming service has scheduled several concerts throughout the week.
Superstar Cardi B will also be performing at Spotify Beach, along with DJ Mark Ronson and Laura Young.
Chart-topping artist Alex Warren, whose song “normal” is a Billboard Hot 100 hit, will also perform on a separate night, sharing the stage with Sombre and the indie duo Royer Otis.
Publicis and PayPal ads will host a concert featuring Jason Derulo in partnership with Tiktok on the prominent beach.
The following night, Busta Rhymes is set to perform to support Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
Ludacris will collaborate with NBCuniversal for a free concert at the beach, expected to be a mix of his classic tracks and newer hits.
Before Ludacris takes the stage, the crowd will enjoy DJ Namasthy’s set along with a special guest performance from “Summer House” star Kyle Cooke.
Diplo is also capturing the festival vibe, filming throughout the event.
There’s chatter that a megastar DJ will headline Yahoo’s party.
Sports journalist Taylor Lukes is throwing a late-night bash that promises to last until 5 AM, complete with cocktails and cabaret performances.
Notable guests are anticipated, including hitmaker Dokii, “Anxiety” star Issa Rae, and influencers like Janelle Monae and Winnie Harlow.
Unik Ernest will host its annual “Culturin” afterparty series this year, kicking off with United Masters CEO Steve Stoute and “Parks and Recreation” star Rashida Jones.
Meanwhile, Motorola and Pantone will host intimate dinners for top executives at the esteemed Michelin-starred Villa Alange.
The festival is set to run until June 20th.
