Pizza Delivery Steals the Show at Madison Square Garden

A particular pizza delivery is making waves, especially after Knicks guard Josh Hart was spotted enjoying a slice during a postgame press conference. The duo behind this memorable moment, Nick Baglibo and Massimo Laveglia of Lindastry Pizzeria, shared how they successfully navigated to Madison Square Garden with 16 delicious pies during a crucial game.

“It felt like a 400-meter dash. The roads were flooded, so we just had to drive through and make it home,” Baglibo remarked, showcasing the urgency of their mission.

Arriving in the middle of 8th Avenue, Baglibo reflected, “I was welcomed by the MSG staff… just a quintessential New York experience.” He and Laveglia took it upon themselves to deliver Hart’s order directly. Interestingly, they never actually stepped inside the arena, opting instead to catch the game from their car.

The pizzas were crafted at their West Village location, fresh and ready around 9 p.m., and they managed to transport them to MSG in about 30 minutes. “We wanted them to be hot, so we arrived eight minutes before the fourth quarter,” Baglibo explained.

They made it just in time for Hart’s postgame pizza gathering. After the Knicks secured a win against the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Hart, who had a stellar game with 26 points, joked with teammate Karl-Anthony Towns by asking, “Are you a bratty guy?” while offering him a slice.

Lindastry’s delivery didn’t just stop at pizza; they catered to the whole team’s cravings. Laveglia detailed their varied offerings: “I made three Margaritas, three New Yorkers with pepperoni, spicy sausage, ricotta, along with three burrata, two pepperonis, two with fig jam, and two tartufo.” And of course, dessert was part of the feast—“one tray of millefoglie, two trays of olive oil cake, and one tray of pistachio tres leches,” he added.

Hart is no stranger to L’industrie and often stops by their various locations throughout New York. “He visited our Brooklyn store several times during the night, and the staff definitely recognized him,” Baglibo noted.

In a humorous twist, Hart mentioned on social media that when he attempted to get pizza at the restaurant, there was quite a wait. He even joked about the chaos, asking followers who had connections. “After seeing his message, we DMed him on Instagram, exchanged our info, and that was that. He asked for pizza a few times after that, requesting deliveries post-game,” Laveglia recalled. “But this was the first time we brought the pizza to the garden.”

Wrapping up the conversation, Baglibo couldn’t help but sum up the experience: “When New York wins, there’s nothing better than celebrating with a tasty slice.”
