Contradictions in Progressive Politics

If you’re involved in politics, it’s clear that progressives often present conflicting views. This inconsistency tends to keep conservative commentators quite occupied. Initially, young conservatives might relish pointing out these contradictions. However, there’s an important lesson here: only those who are honest truly change their minds when they encounter inconsistencies in their beliefs.

The key isn’t about merely winning an argument, but rather maintaining your integrity. It’s about speaking the truth with courage and kindness.

Progressives don’t accidentally trip over contradictions; they navigate them intentionally, using them as a smokescreen. This leaves diligent conservatives chasing their own tails in confusion. Conservatives tend to desire consistency, so naturally, they expect the same from others. Yet, the evidence shows that’s not always the case.

Consider Hillary Clinton. Recently, during an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” she proclaimed herself an American, only to swiftly criticize Republicans for the nation’s problems. Despite holding a Yale degree, she hasn’t managed to achieve consistency. As Charlie Kirk noted in Cambridge, being smart doesn’t guarantee wisdom. Clinton, who is well-compensated for her speeches, seems to ignore her own contradictions.

After that same appearance, she called for a return to a “truth-based reality,” insisting that facts and evidence should matter again. This comes from the same individual who claims men can transition into women. Clearly, the truth didn’t factor into that assertion. Yet, now she insists that we must adhere to factuality.

It’s a dizzying effect, and therein lies a crucial point.

What truly matters isn’t a simple logic puzzle, but the state of her soul. What happens to individuals whose lives are marred by falsehood and injustice for so long?

Furthermore, Clinton exposed her deepest fear—not of God, but of His followers, particularly white male Christians. She expressed this on national television shortly after a tragic incident involving a trans-identified terrorist, who was influenced by rhetoric from politicians like her. Yet she continues to stoke such flames.

The irony is thick. She openly questioned whether current political practices contradict the foundational principles upon which this nation was built. This notion bends and twists with each instance of her political bias, from the same politicians who interpret the Constitution as a flexible document. When Donald Trump faced a Twitter ban or legal actions from the Biden administration, she showed little concern for consistency.

At this point, it’s easy to keep pointing out contradictions. However, a deeper warning emerges: Hillary Clinton exemplifies what happens when a person spends their life saying whatever benefits their career. She publicly contradicts herself while attacking Christians for personal gain. My university, Arizona, even paid her a whopping $500,000 to host the Clinton Global Initiative.

Socrates had it right: a true philosopher, who loves goodness, doesn’t chase political power, wealth, or fame. Instead, they aim for something greater: to leave this world without a tarnished soul.

That’s the takeaway for young conservatives. Sure, pointing out contradictions can be entertaining, but don’t overlook something much more significant: don’t allow your soul to mirror that of Hillary Clinton.

G.K. Chesterton once remarked that modern thinkers complain that no one knows what to do, reflecting a progressive trend. This movement dismisses fundamental principles, denies those who uphold them, and demands comfort in ideals once secured.

  • Prioritize your soul over your social media presence. Social media’s value is fleeting. A clear conscience is invaluable.
  • Pursue consistency not merely for intellectual reasons, but because it aligns with truth. Witnesses are important, but truth sustains.
  • Revere God over trends. Today’s fads may become tomorrow’s embarrassments; I choose to fear the Lord.

The objective isn’t to win the argument but to uphold your integrity. Speaking the truth bravely, resisting the temptation to compromise for applause, and ultimately leaving this world with untainted souls is what counts. That victory surpasses anything Clinton has ever achieved, and it’s the only kind that endures.
