Democratic Party’s Distorted Truth Claims Over ICE Incident
The Democratic Party’s approach to truth seems almost unique in its manipulation. A recent example has drawn significant attention. Blaze TV host Sarah Gonzalez discussed how an official Democratic Party post shared a photo of a boy whose father had been detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The post declared, “ICE arrested a 5-year-old in Minneapolis as he returned home from kindergarten and attempted to use him as human bait. His teacher describes him as a ‘bright young student.'” That’s a pretty strong accusation.
Gonzalez remarks that this claim was echoed repeatedly.
Even Kamala Harris, the Vice President, joined in. She made a post declaring, “Liam Ramos is still a baby. He should be at home with his family, not baited by ICE and held in a Texas detention center. I’m furious, and so should you.”
Ilhan Omar added her voice with another post, claiming, “ICE just took a 5-year-old into custody. Don’t tell me this is the ‘worst of the worst.'” It certainly sounds like an emotional appeal aimed at capturing attention.
The mainstream media caught onto the narrative too, with an ABC News headline stating, “ICE detains 5-year-old asylum seeker as enforcement expands in Minnesota.”
In contrast, J.D. Vance, the Vice President, offered a more realistic perspective. He said, “As a father of a 5-year-old, I look at this story and think, ‘Oh my God, this is terrible. How did they arrest a 5-year-old?’ But upon further investigation, we realized the father, who was an illegal alien, was the one arrested while trying to flee from ICE.” His viewpoint shifts the narrative quite a bit.
He further questioned, “So what should ICE have done? Let the five-year-old freeze to death?”
Gonzalez concluded that the story had shifted in meaning. “We had a 5-year-old child being portrayed as the victim, while in reality, the father abandoned his child.” She emphasized how ICE was, ironically, the one trying to protect the child left behind.
