Season 34 Winner of Dancing with the Stars Announced
The champions of the latest season of *Dancing with the Stars* are Robert Irwin and Whitney Carson! This announcement came at the conclusion of a three-hour finale filled with intense performances, including a “Judge’s Choice” dance, an “Instant Dance,” and a signature “Freestyle.” The pair edged out social media influencers Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy in what was one of the closest results the show has seen.
Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy secured second place, while Jordan Chiles and Ezra Sosa came in third. Dylan Efron and Daniela Karagach landed in fourth, followed by Elaine Hendricks and Alan Bersten in fifth.
After their victory, Irwin expressed gratitude by mentioning his sister Bindi Irwin, who had previously won in Season 21. He said, “Thank you for changing my life.” Carson chimed in, “Honestly, I’m very grateful to Robert. I think I’ve already won by having him as a friend.” She couldn’t find the right words to express her appreciation.
Leading up to the finale, Carson disclosed that they had to make some last-minute choreography changes due to Irwin dealing with pain. “Robert’s ribs are killing him. We had to adjust some parts involving other dancers,” she shared with fans, referencing their freestyle routines.
She mentioned that the stress of piecing everything together had been quite overwhelming, yet she remained optimistic. “In the end, we won’t regret this at all,” she added, reflecting on the journey with Robert.
Interestingly, Irwin wasn’t the only contestant facing injury this season. Hendricks had to miss “Halloween Night” due to rib pain sustained during a previous performance. She had opened up about her struggles leading up to her “Wicked Night” routine.
Meanwhile, Earle frequently shared behind-the-scenes glimpses of his own struggles and injuries on social media throughout the season.
As the finalists tackled the challenges of their last performances, co-host Alfonso Ribeiro reminded them that the trophy often hinges on the freestyle dance, encouraging them to impress both judges and viewers during this final showcase.
The finale was not just a competition but also featured performances from various personalities like Corey Feldman, Hilaria Baldwin, and Andy Richter, who participated in the opening number choreographed by Joey Pizzi.
Moreover, the night included an announcement about the upcoming *DWTS: Live!* tour, where stars like Hendrix and Fishel will co-host performances. Earle, Efron, Chiles, Irwin, and Carson are set to make special guest appearances on select dates, with more details available online.
