Authorities in Washington, D.C., are searching for three people who were caught on surveillance video stealing $36,000 worth of luxury merchandise from a Moncler store.

The Metropolitan Police Department has posted this footage on YouTube in the hope that the public will be able to help identify the three men who entered the Moncler in the 900 block of Palmer Alley, N.W. on January 18, 2024 at approximately 2:15 p.m. Published.

Video footage showed the thieves entering the store. The first person to enter appeared to be a woman with long hair and a mask, wearing boots, skinny jeans, a Nike hat, and a white-and-yellow-orange jacket with sleeves.

The second person was wearing a gray Nike pullover sweatshirt and dark pants, and the third person was wearing a black Nike jacket, black jeans, and black boots. All three suspects were wearing masks to hide their faces.

The suspect, wearing an orange-sleeved jacket, was seen carrying a fire extinguisher with him, as if trying to figure out how to operate it, before walking back toward the store.

A second video showed the same suspect still struggling with the fire extinguisher and a man in a gray hooded sweatshirt running up behind her, grabbing several jackets from a rack.

The suspect, wearing a yellow-sleeved jacket, walked to the front door holding a fire extinguisher, opened the fire extinguisher, and while still holding the fire extinguisher, a person wearing gray clothing fled with the merchandise.

The third suspect was also seen on camera grabbing several jackets from a rack, hiding them under his armpits and draping them over his arm.

The suspect ran to the door, dropped one of his jackets as he tried to exit, turned around and grabbed the item before fleeing.

Officials noted that three suspects fled the scene in a gray Toyota Rav 4.

No suspects were in custody as of Monday night, and the investigation is still ongoing.

Anyone with information about the person is encouraged to contact the Metropolitan Police Department, and there will be a reward of up to $1,000 for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for the crime.
