The day before long-sealed court documents related to the convicted pedophile were to be released to the public, thieves raided the Los Angeles office of Jeffrey Epstein's publicist who briefly handled the crisis, police said. He broke into his office and stole his computer.
Michael Sitrick of Sitrick & Co., a top global crisis corporate PR firm, said his office in the four-story Brentwood building was robbed by scammers on January 2nd. He said any connection to this week's unsealing of nearly 900 people has been ruled out. Documents since then-Settled in 2015 defamation lawsuit Epstein and Virginia Giuffre.
“There can be no connection because it makes no sense,” Sitrick argued to the Post.
Sitrick said the thieves only stole computers used by employees included in Accounts Payable, noting that other corporate offices in the building were also broken into on Tuesday.
He also said that neither his personal office nor that of his assistant had been tampered with.
“If the thieves were targeting something related to Epstein or someone else, how do you explain why my office wasn't broken into?” He added that there was nothing in the office.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told The Post that a robbery was reported shortly after 12:30 p.m. local time at 11999 San Vicente Boulevard, and the crooks broke through a glass door and gained access to the building. It is said that there was a break-in.
A spokesperson declined to provide further details about the robbery.
The crisis public relations guru said he began working with the child molester in 2011 after a Post article detailing Epstein's friendship with Prince Andrew.
Mr. Sitrick said he terminated Mr. Epstein as a client about eight weeks later. Company filed charges against child sex offender In 2014, the company had more than $71,000 in unpaid bills, which it eventually bought up.
