Charlie Kirk Supporters Gather for Memorial Service

On September 21, 2025, a significant number of supporters of Charlie Kirk, a conservative activist, assembled at State Farm Stadium in Glendale for his memorial service following his tragic death.

People began arriving at the stadium well before dawn, creating traffic jams a mile away. Many attendees engaged in singing prayers while they awaited the ceremony to start.

Security measures were to be stringent, with “TSA-level screenings” anticipated due to the presence of prominent figures including former President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, and Kirk’s widow, Erica Kirk.

In a statement made as he traveled to Arizona, Trump characterized the event as a way to “celebrate the life of a great man.” He remarked on the emotional impact of Kirk’s passing, noting that it was a day filled with significance yet also one of sorrow.

Trump further added, “He had an army of young people who loved him so much. So they’re devastated right now. Everyone is devastated.”

Kirk was shot during a public event at Utah Valley University last week as part of the “America Comeback Tour,” where he was engaged in discussions with students.

Vance, a close friend of Kirk’s, shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, saying, “Last week, we finally brought my best friend, Charlie Kirk, home. Today, we remember Charlie, respect his sacrifice, and he will sleep peacefully forever and watch over Erica and her beautiful children.”

The service was set to commence at 11 a.m. local time, with attendance likely capped based on stadium capacity. State Farm Stadium, home to the Arizona Cardinals, has a seating capacity of 63,400 but can expand for large events.

Several notable figures, including Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and National Intelligence Director Tarcigabad, were expected to deliver statements at the memorial.
