Reality TV Stars Todd and Julie Chrisley Reflect on Their Release

Todd and Julie Chrisley have emerged from their legal battles and prison time, recently expressing gratitude towards former President Trump in a talk on “My View with Lala Trump.”

In their first public statements since being released, Todd reminisced about their shared experiences with Trump. “I looked at him and thought, ‘How can I complain?'” he said, seated with family. “The media has scrutinized us just as they have done to him.” Todd shared how, despite their struggles, they felt blessed to still be standing strong.

Chrisley’s Children Support Trump’s Initiative to Pardon Their Parents

Both Todd and Julie were convicted for financial crimes totaling over $30 million. They faced 12 and 7 years in prison, respectively, but were granted pardons earlier this year.

The family recollected the moment they learned about the pardons during the interview. Savannah and her younger brother Grayson received the news directly from Trump. Savannah noted how surreal it felt when they heard Trump’s voice, with tears in Grayson’s eyes as they realized the ordeal was finally over.

“Honestly, I was shocked when he called me,” Savannah reflected. “It was huge when he asked, ‘Is this a complete pardon?’ and we learned he wanted to give us a new start.” She had hoped for her parents’ return after Trump’s electoral victory last November, especially after their previous legal challenges seemed insurmountable.

Todd echoed the significance of that presidential win, recalling how he erupted in joy upon hearing the news of Trump’s victory. “Everyone around could feel the hope it brought,” he mentioned.

After Todd learned about his pardon, he reached out to Savannah with the good news. Meanwhile, Julie was surprised when she heard her name mentioned in a news report, leading her to phone Savannah for more details. Once Savannah confirmed the pardon, Julie burst into tears, overwhelmed by emotion.

This family’s journey highlights both their struggles and the unexpected turns that life can take. They now look forward to a fresh chapter beyond their difficult past.
