Concerns Over Potential Terrorist Threats from Immigration Policies
Tom Homan, known for his role at the border, expressed serious concerns on Monday, stating he is “confident” the United States may face significant terrorist attacks due to former President Joe Biden’s immigration policies.
“That’s coming,” Homan remarked, implying potential terrorist acts reminiscent of 9/11 by individuals who crossed the southern border illegally during Biden’s administration.
Homan pointed out that about two million immigrants, often referred to as “Gotaways,” who evaded border patrol during the previous administration, are causing him greater concern than issues like drug trafficking and human trafficking that escalated under Biden.
“These two million known gotaways scare the hell out of me,” he said, indicating that there are fears of some possibly becoming terrorists.
“I’m sure something’s coming unless we find them,” he cautioned.
Homan, who played a key role in implementing a mass expulsion program during President Trump’s term, highlighted that many immigrants are concerned about the high costs associated with remaining undetected under Biden’s administration.
“Why would two million illegal aliens pay more to escape?” he asked on Fox News. “They could’ve simply crossed the border, turned themselves in to Border Patrol, and been released that same day with transportation to their chosen cities, free accommodations, three meals a day, and access to medical care.”
“Two million people chose to pay more to avoid vetting,” he insisted. “Why would they do that?”
“This scares the hell out of me, and I’ve been in this field for 40 years. It should alarm all Americans about what the Biden administration has facilitated,” Homan expressed.
He characterized the situation with “Gotaways” as “the biggest national security vulnerability this country has ever seen,” predicting that the fallout from Biden’s border policy will impact the nation for years to come.
Homan’s comments emerged a day after a tragic incident in Boulder, Colorado, where a man used makeshift flamethrowers and Molotov cocktails in a violent anti-Semitic attack.
The suspect, Mohamed Sabri Soliman, a 45-year-old Egyptian national, had originally entered the U.S. on a tourist visa in 2022. He sought asylum and later received a work permit from the Biden administration.
However, Soliman’s work visa expired in March, meaning he was no longer legally residing in the country. Homan lamented the administration’s approach, stating “we’re handing out work visas like candy,” even as some individuals fall through legal cracks.
