Tom Homan Explains Trump's Deportation Plan Following MAGA Criticism

ICE Remains Committed to Workplace Enforcement

Tom Homan, a key figure in border enforcement, stated on Fox News Monday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will continue its crackdown on workplace violations.

Amid discussions within the Trump administration, there have been arrests at farms, restaurants, and hotels, especially after concerns arose regarding potential economic repercussions. Even as enforcement ramped up, some officials pushed for daily arrests of about 3,000 individuals. During his appearance on “Ingraham’s Angle,” Homan emphasized that targeting criminal organizations within the workplace is a fundamental part of ICE’s mission under President Trump.

“Like all aspects, the focus is on public safety threats and national security threats. Workplace operations are also a priority. There’s a particular focus on businesses involved in forced labor trafficking, sex trafficking, and criminal investigations. Any lack of tax compliance can hint at larger issues, like tax evasion or cartel funding,” he said, responding to inquiries about changing enforcement priorities.

Homan reassured that ICE agents remain aligned with the president’s directives, concentrating their efforts on criminal activities.

“We prioritize workplace investigations as well. Everything is important, but workplace enforcement is central to our mission. We’re committed to continuing this focus,” he added.

When questioned about morale within ICE in light of public scrutiny, including incidents of doxxing, Homan was candid. “Morale is high. Our agents face challenges, yes, and many are targeted online. I’m also getting doxxed, along with my family,” he conveyed. “Targeting an ICE officer effectively means targeting all 20,000 of us, given the strong bonds we share.”

After defeating former Vice President Kamala Harris in the election, President Trump pushed a tough immigration stance that included expanding the border wall and significantly increasing deportations. He even declared a national emergency, indicating intentions to mobilize troops for enforcement actions.
