Border czar Tom Homan said Thursday on Fox News that an illegal immigrant who was recorded yelling that Haiti will not be sent back has actually returned to his home country.
Video footage aired on Fox News shows a Haitian immigrant praising former President Joe Biden and Barack Obama chanting “Will Caine” while being arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Boston, Massachusetts.・He showed that he performed a clip of Homan on the show. We're asking for his thoughts on hearing an immigrant scream, “I'm not going back to Haiti!”
Homan said immigration was wrong.
“He's going back to Haiti. I can tell him that,” Homan said.
“Look, I've been saying that for four years on this network. Joe Biden intentionally opened these borders. It wasn't mismanagement. It wasn't under siege. He knew exactly what he was doing. He made promises while he was running for president. He kept those promises. At least you have to give him credit for it. They opened this border.”
According to Homan, President Trump is “going to secure the border. [at] Highest level ever. ”
“You thought we had a secure border before? Look at what's going to happen now. It's going to be the toughest border in the history of this country,” Homan said. .
“The Ice Officers are finally in handcuffs and they're going to put them on bad guys across the country.”
Illegal immigrant encounters reached record highs under the Biden-Harris administration. President Donald Trump said during his 2024 presidential campaign that he would close the U.S. southern border and conduct mass deportations. Following Trump's inauguration and Biden's immediate reversal of policies, ice agents began arresting “criminal aliens” across the United States, including rapists and murderers. According to Fox News' Bill Melugin, the Haitian immigrant seen in the video is a gang member with 17 criminal convictions in recent years. Homan went on to add that Americans have begun to see a difference at the border under the Biden-Harris administration, with more security and more authority for ice officers to do their jobs.
“You'll see the border wall being built. With the progression of the obstacles and putting the Constantine wire on top, you'll see a lot of soldiers there – the border barrier. You'll see Dodd. I'm going to see it [the Department of Defense] There,” Homan said.
“You'll see ice agents assigned there for human trafficking investigations. Instead of making sandwiches or changing diapers or making baby formula, you'll see Border Patrol agents assigned there. They’ll see. They’ll line up.”
Before Trump's inauguration on Monday, Democratic lawmakers and officials criticized his mass deportation plan. The American Civil Liberties Union filed a lawsuit against ICE in November challenging its deportation strategy. Despite the pushback, Homan stood firm on his presidential oath and warned Democrats of potential legal repercussions from attorney general nominee Pam Bondi.
