Border Patrol Agent Comments on ICE Officer’s Situation
Border Patrol Agent Tom Homan stated that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officer Jonathan Ross is “in hiding” due to safety concerns following a shooting incident that resulted in the death of Renee Goode during a recent episode of “Will Kane Country.”
In a recent show, Homan shared that federal agents had located Ross in Minneapolis while he was packing up his belongings. The situation escalated as Ross felt the need to seek shelter after the incident. When host Will Cain mentioned that ICE agents might consider suing influential left-wing individuals over defamation, Homan indicated that they likely would, and brought up Ross’s circumstances.
“Things are really tough right now, Will, and it’s likely to escalate… For this agent involved in the shooting, he’s left waiting for the investigation to unfold and for the true details to emerge,” Homan commented. “I know he’s currently in hiding because I saw a post with his photo saying, ‘Wanted for murder.’ It’s utterly senseless. We might be seeing more incidents like this going forward.”
Cain sought to clarify if Ross was indeed “in hiding.”
“Yes, it’s for his own safety as well as his family’s. There’s a wanted poster featuring his photo and license plate number,” Homan replied, noting that there have been death threats aimed at him and his family.
In addition, officials from President Trump’s administration disclosed that Ross had previously been pulled by a vehicle during a chase in June 2025, inadvertently aiding journalists in identifying him.
Ross shot Goode after she accelerated toward ICE officers during a confrontation. While Democrats label the shooting as homicide, the Trump administration defends it as a self-defense action.
