Tom Steyer’s New Platform Is Clear: Let's Begin a Civil War

Greetings, reader.

I’m a bit late to this, so let’s dive right in.

TOM STEYER’S CONTENTIOUS PLAN

Recently, billionaire Tom Steyer, known for his extreme views on climate change, proposed what some might call a call to arms against Washington. Wrapped in political jargon, the proposal essentially suggests initiating conflict.

He shared a five-point plan on April 14, and here’s the gist: the first three points focus on creating new laws and investigations aimed at arresting ICE agents and their leadership.

The fourth point is even more out there: it suggests establishing a legal framework to bring back deported individuals to California.

And the fifth? It’s rather insidious: it involves launching a “know your rights” campaign that could easily encourage confrontations with ICE agents, likely leading to the very arrests mentioned earlier.

It’s a troubling plan, and with recent shifts in political dynamics, it seems increasingly plausible.

Though Republican Steve Hilton currently outperforms Steyer in polls, the latter’s support is gaining momentum.

For now, other candidates appear cautious about endorsing this rather radical approach. If Steyer were to win and implement this strategy, it could potentially result in serious violence.

Imagine citizens acting on Steyer’s advice from his so-called “know your rights” campaign. As we’ve seen before, these initiatives often provoke confrontations, resulting in harassment of ICE officials.

Steyer seems to be looking for more cases like those of Alex Prettis and Renée Goods. Once he gets a few incidents, he would likely pursue the first three points, targeting ICE agents for arrests.

We’ve seen similar boasts from local prosecutors, but a governor could take things much further.

So if Steyer begins arresting ICE agents and DHS officials, what follows?

Well, it could mirror historical events. For instance, during the Whiskey Rebellion, George Washington dispatched 13,000 National Guard troops to quell unrest after tax collectors were attacked.

This time, however, the scenario is different.

Trump might try to mobilize the National Guard, likely starting in California and perhaps extending to neighboring states.

In Washington’s era, the Pennsylvania governor raised only mild objections. Steyer, on the other hand, would likely respond with full force.

It’s less about standard armed forces, though. That’s why Steyer’s fifth point is essential. He’ll require an underground militia. Groups of aggressive activists, coupled with criminal elements, could emerge. The misinformation campaign would likely stoke their anger.

This situation holds the potential to escalate into a violent insurgency.

What’s particularly striking is that California’s liberal voter base generally detests ICE more than they do Trump.

We’ll have to watch if Steyer comes out on top. If he does, it will be interesting to see if he has the nerve to ignite this powder keg.
